RIDGELINE CLEAR

Previously published in combined form as THE THINGS WE OBEY: NO OTHER AUTHORITY / RIDGELINE CLEAR by S. R. Kellan. This Second Edition has been substantially revised, expanded, restructured, and divided into two volumes.

THE RIFLE HAS BEEN TAKEN. THE SHOOTER IS ALIVE. NOW COMES THE HARDER QUESTION: WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CRISIS IS OVER?

Tyler Grant came down from the ridgeline alive.

He is guilty. Wounded. Manipulated. Responsible.

Now he is inside White Pine.

Under lawful custody, behind a locked door, Tyler enters a world where consequences are real, forgiveness does not erase accountability, and nobody is required to trust him simply because he wants to change.

Silas Boone is still healing from the bullet Tyler fired.

Eli Mercer gives Tyler work instead of speeches.

Amy Dawson offers ordinary kindness without promises.

And John begins doing something no court order can require-slowly becoming the mentor and father figure Tyler never expected to need.

But the system that helped shape Tyler's descent has not disappeared. New ORCHARD material raises disturbing questions about synthetic voices, manipulated information, behavioral prediction, and the digital path that led him toward White Pine.

The evidence may explain more than anyone understood.

It cannot erase the fact that Tyler pulled the trigger.

So the real battle moves inward.

Through locked rooms, winter mornings, Scripture, hard conversations, grief, responsibility, and the slow rebuilding of trust, Tyler must learn that repentance is not a moment. It is a way of living when nobody owes you immediate restoration.

RIDGELINE CLEAR is Book Two of the substantially revised and expanded Second Edition of THE THINGS WE OBEY-a Christian suspense thriller about artificial intelligence, lawful authority, discipleship, fatherhood, forgiveness, preparedness, trust, and the restoration of a life bent by grief, violence, deception, and self-authorized certainty.

Eventually, the path leads back toward the mountain.

The terrain has not changed.

Tyler has.

REAL AUTHORITY DOESN'T JUST HOLD THE LINE.
IT LEADS OTHERS HIGHER.
