Two years after Intico's failed demonic takeover in Chicago, Kendra has embraced her own inner demon and completed her Hunter training. When Hunters begin disappearing, Kendra and Eden work alongside their squad to infiltrate demon laboratories headed by Onaga, the first fallen angel. As the Hunters are systematically thinned and pushed to their limits, it becomes clear that there is a traitor within their ranks.

While they seek to uncover the mastermind behind the horrific schemes, Eden finds that his dark past can no longer be repressed. Forced to reckon with his greatest fears, Eden must learn to trust those he loves or face his doom. With Kendra at his side, he may just be able to overcome the suffocating darkness he is drowning in once and for all.
