Rethinking Management Education

The world is facing tremendous challenges, including climate change, environmental degradation, breaches of human rights principles, corruption and inequality. While there has been a rush of research in the field of sustainability, the teaching and instruction of sustainability principles is equally important, particularly business education. This book outlines the current landscape for sustainability education in business schools and for executives, paying particular attention to innovations and global disparities in provision.

This is achieved using both a broad look at the scholarly landscape and using specific case studies from Europe and Africa. Research from three business schools from Western Europe and three from Sub-Saharan Africa are used to draw scientific conclusions and provide insights and practical guidance. It will be of great interest to scholars and students of sustainability education, as well as being of practical use to instructors in business schools and executive education programmes.
