Relics

Every relic survives for a reason...

Fourteen indie authors ask the same question from fourteen different directions: what remains after everything else is gone, and why does it still matter?

Relics, Volume 1 is a collection of science fiction and fantasy that refuses to sit still in one genre - a mythic West, 1929 Chicago, a war-torn Italian town, the Sinai, the North Sea, a glacier at the end of the world, a rogue planet, and a relic found on Mars.

The stories are collected into three segments:
The Ruins
The Remnants
The Restored

Curated by Heidi A. Hill, L. Jagi Lamplighter, and Michael Finney, in coordination with Based Book Sale, Relics gathers established voices and new ones in a single volume built for readers who want a whole shelf of storytellers for the price of one book.

Contributing authors: Theodore D.C. Cox, C.S. Johnson, J. Trevor Robinson, Michael Finney, Ryan M. Patrick, James Pyles, L. Jagi Lamplighter, James Head, Raymund Eich, Jonathan Oldenburg, Heidi A. Hill, J.D. Cowan, Michael Ferrara, and Bowen Greenwood.

Fourteen stories. Fourteen relics. One volume - with more to come in 2027.
