An adventure from Africa along the Red Sea to Aqaba in Jordan. After visits to several amazing cultural sites such as Petra and Jerash and natural beauties such as Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea, it was time to relax in Jordan's capital, Amman.
Then it was an exploratory tour through Iraq, a country that had been a no-go zone for years but had finally rid itself of the repressive Saddam Hussein regime, civil war and barbarous Islamic State insurgents. It was rebuilding its government control and economy to provide security, education and prospects for its population who are grabbing opportunities with both hands.
It has a long and vibrant history, including culture, development and architecture but also some dark periods in its history. No stone is left unturned as the route winds its way through the major and many minor sites in Iraq from the Jordanian border north to Turkey and ultimately, the Back Sea.
