When Tito died, the inevitable breakup of Yugoslavia was just a question of when, not if, it would begin. The conflicts soon began, throwing the area into war and unspeakable atrocities, turning normal people into savage killers. Senator McCloud is found murdered along with his wife and 7 year old son, all the law enforcement agencies in America are called into action. The investigators soon find that not only was it a professional hit, but there are connections to several previous unsolved murders. As the investigation in America intensifies they discover there is an international killer for hire organization at work. Headed by Interpol, law enforcement agencies, from America and right across Europe, join forces to trace the organization. The list of murders soon starts to grow and it quickly becomes apparent the word, collateral damage, means nothing to the killers.With all countries working closely the hunt picks up speed. But the base and size of the organization was proving difficult to track down. Gradually, information pieced together starts a chase across Europe, to America and back to Europe. They find that they are actually searching for a single killer, who has absolutely no conscious whatsoever, basically a sociopath.CIA Agent Jacob, formally a successful New York Detective is given the task to follow the investigation in Europe and to liaise with all the various agencies.
