Process Design

This work discusses the overall process design of acetone production factory. It states in details how to design a project technically and economically. This study is encouraged to be used as a manual for chemical engineering personnel and students alike to give them a better understanding about the designing concepts since the work includes variety of chemical equipment designed theoretically. Furthermore, technical and economical feasibility was calculated for the equipment and the materials. Moreover, this work discusses the possibility of construction profitable acetone production factory since the project has return on investment (ROI) more than one. In addition, This research will directly help and inform the employees (Engineers and Technicians) of the necessary details of working in the chemical factories. This work is crucial since it explains in details the overall process of designing a project in chemical industry because it includes many different important equipment in chemical industry such as: reactor, distillation column, heat exchanger, pump, tank, and etc.. .
