We live in a time where people are chasing fame, fortune and recognition like never before. Things such as a heightened social media presence, the obsession with materialism and popular culture all work together as a barometer that seem to measure one's self-worth. To be liked, to be famous, to and to feel important are all issues of self-esteem and self-worth. This aspect of self-esteem and worth is not simply a contemporary issue exacerbated by popular culture, but an age-old one. It finds its origin as far back as the foundation of the world and has been chronicled throughout time, beginning in biblical writings.

PRIDE: The Gateway Sin, was written to uncover and to discuss the demonic agenda of pride and how it functions as the catalyst behind the issues of self-esteem, social ills and various aspects of deviant behavior. Pride is the undercover agent and silent assassin that cloaks itself within these character issues. It is the subtle way that the enemy targets mankind's growth and development, physically, psychologically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
