Precarious Elements

It has been almost forty years since a coup in the peaceful Queendom of Terrenteum. The resulting war decimated the land and all must bow to King Drakkor and his wyvern banner. First order of business was to snuff out the Zelig, who have the ability to wield elemental magic and challenge his power. Some Zelig were able to escape after the war and retreat across the mountains, but not all.
Anyone born in the Kingdom thereafter with a spark of magic must fear for their lives and hide from the Zashita, a secret police with the sole mission to find and eliminate the Zelig. Even on his death bed, Drakkor clutches his stolen crown and schemes for power. Spies and assassins lurk around every corner. Even the walls have ears.
Arianna, a maid working in Drakkor's palace, is terrified when she realizes she is a Zelig with the rare gifts of an Earth Mender. Is this a blessing from the Goddess or the curse that will surely get her killed? Are there others she can turn to who share her elemental talents, and can she trust them? How long can she keep her secret?
Suddenly her life is thrown into chaos as she meets a handsome stranger in the forest, and she feels a strange connection to him. But how long can anything good last in a kingdom bent on her destruction?
