In Jamie McCaskill's debut story, twenty years after leaving his hometown to rebuild his life and seek redemption, Reverend Joshua Mason is drawn back to Corinth by a letter from his old friend, Sheriff Richard Williams. Returning to officiate the wedding of Richard's son, Joshua finds the small town gripped by terror due to a series of gruesome murders, marked by sinister occult symbols.
As Joshua and Richard delve deeper into the investigation, they uncover a horrifying truth: the murders are the work of a demoniac, a person possessed by a powerful demon. The demon seems to know Joshua personally, leaving cryptic messages and targeting him with malevolent acts.
Haunted by his past and driven by his faith, Joshua teams up with Richard to stop the demoniac before it claims more victims. Along the way, Joshua reconnects with Beth, his high school sweetheart, finding solace in their rekindled relationship. But as the demoniac's attacks grow more personal and the town's fear escalates, Joshua must confront his own inner demons and the darkness that lurks within Corinth.
