Prayers and Promises

Nothing puts more of a smile on his face than when BigBig gets to spend time with his grandson, Micah John. And Micah John feels the same way, loving the stories his grandfather tells him when he visits.
In the new book by author Patti Bazemore, Prayers and Promises, BigBig shares a story from the Bible while he and Micah John are looking at the stars one night. It is the story of Abram and Sarai and their desire for a child.
BigBig shares with Micah John that God told Abram to look at the stars in the sky, similar to the stars they are looking up at in that moment, and the number of stars meant the number of children Abram would have.
The same miracle from God happened as well when Micah John and his two sisters made BigBig and his wife grandparents, and BigBig thanks God every day for the opportunities to love his grandchildren.
When a long-awaited child, or triplets, arrives, you can't help but thank God for the blessing.
Author Patti Bazemore is all about family, having been married to her husband Bobby for thirty-four years and having three daughters together: Sara Beth, married to Kollin and mother to two-year-old triplets, Micah John, Karsyn, and Karter; Laura Kay, married to Travis and mother to one-year-old daughter, Ryn; and Annie, a senior in college and engaged to Landon. Patti and her family own a "small-town" drugstore, where she is the buyer and decorator for the gift shop, and she is starting a new blog as well.
