Sometimes finding your way back to brave starts with the right pony.
Piper once felt completely at home around horses. But after a series of difficult experiences, the confidence she once carried into the barn and show ring began to disappear.
Then came Shakes.
A fourteen-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse pony with a past, a personality, and people who loved him enough to carefully choose where he would go next. When Shakes became part of Piper's family, no one expected everything to change overnight.
Instead, they started small.
A walk through the pasture.
A hand on his nose.
A lead rope held a little more confidently.
And, of course, plenty of his favorite German muffins.
Piper & Shakes: Back to Brave is inspired by the true beginning of a girl and pony learning to trust each other one step at a time. With Piper dreaming of someday showing Shakes in Youth Model classes, their biggest adventures are still ahead.
A heartfelt children's story about horses, confidence, second chances, trust, and the special bond that can grow when the right pony arrives at just the right time.
Their story is only beginning.
