Pilate and Claudia follows the 33AD love affair of a rising military man and his well born wife. Played out during a Passion Week that amplifies the differences in their life stations and their problematic pairing, they arrive at Pilate's Rubicon - the trial of Jesus of Nazareth.
Claudia is unmoved by the crowd's bloodlust and demands Pilate 'have nothing to do with that righteous man.' Pilate is swayed by the threat of violence, and like Aeneas before him chooses duty over love.
