After two weeks of searching, there's still no sign of Gemma. Not only does Noah call off the search for her, but he refuses to let me leave the ranch to look for her myself.

As one of the original founders of Safe Haven Ranch, I take seriously our duty to help others and to make the world a better place however we can. When Bridget joins the ranch, there's doubt about how well she's fitting in. She's loud and demanding, but fiercely loyal to her friends.

When I catch her trying to sneak away on her own, I offer to go with her, despite the consequences. She needs a man who will love her and protect her, someone willing to spend the time to get behind her shields and teach her to trust again.

But that man can't be me, as much as I might want it to be.
