Orseca

Orseca became the new Master of Oink after Orsello his father transcended physical form. He had been at the helm of power for over a thousand years.
Orsello's transcendence happened quite suddenly in the middle of his seventy-seven days annual meditation. His body lit up from within until he became too bright to look at before he vanished. He had entered the spirit realm of the gods.
That event is celebrated to this day.
Orsello had turned Oink into a technological fortress on the surface. However, despite his numerous achievements, trouble and turmoil rocked deep particularly in the extensive tunnels and various secret establishments. There were numerous groups of dangerous people vying for political power on the planet. Corruption was rampant as cartels grew to control core resources. Crime rose even though the State created increasingly tight, dictatorial security systems to curb it. Orseca was hated for these measures by certain people.
Certain roguish groups opposed to his rule developed high technologies to topple him and establish a new political system. Others resorted to abductions and killings of influential people with the aim of ransoming the political decisions on the planet.
Orseca had to constantly find means and ways of ensuring that his position remained secure on Oink and beyond.
