Seeking solitude, he retreats to a secluded summer house, where an earthquake thrusts him into a parallel world set a century ahead. There, he meets Zante, a mysterious artist who brings him to a temple to heal his wounds.

As he familiarises himself with the temple, Ealian learns that future society is thriving in a golden era of cultural, scientific, and technological revolution.

It is known as the era of Ramificationism, shaped by the philosophy of Ramism. The philosophy centers on the Ram, a mystical network linking the quantum, human, and galactic worlds in a cosmic equilibrium.

To find his way home, Ealian must win the mirroring-a series of challenges needed to reestablish the balance between the self and the world.

The challenges of the mirroring take place in the Verse, a conscious spacetime that transforms human understanding of the universe. For Ramists, the Verse is a place where humans can grasp the very fabric of reality, experience both inner and outer consciousness, and interact with the cosmic network.

However, the Verse is not a passive experience-those who enter it must confront their deepest fears, desires, strengths, and weaknesses. Through these trials, Ealian unlocks the power of the future magical system, a matrix of the existing elements in the universe, which allows him to cast spells and bend reality, both in the Verse and in real life.

Throughout his journey, Ealian learns to master his powers, confront his demons, and get closer to home every day. However, it is a home he will never recognise.
