The present volume comprises selected refereed contributions from the concluding conference organized by the network Operator Algebra and Dynamics, a research network consisting of eight Nordic research groups. The purpose of the network is to promote mobility and cooperation between operator algebraists in the Nordic countries working on the interplay of operator algebras and dynamics and their applications. During the three years of the existence of the network, substantial research results have been achieved in the direction of broad interplay between these central expanding research areas. Operator Algebras, Dynamics and Applications reports on these results as well as gives an overview of many ongoing major developments in their interplay. The goal of this book is to extend the understanding of the fundamental role of operator algebras and dynamical systems in mathematics, physics and engineering, and will serve as a a useful inspiration source for broad spectra of researchers and for research students.§
