One Small Town

How can one small town hold so much intrigue? Because some of its citizens have decades of practice.

PC Andy Edge finds himself caught in a complex web of fraud and murder after inheriting his grandmother's home. The house in its pleasant town seems to harbour one mystery after another.
While his detective colleagues investigate the more serious aspects of the case Andy worries about the smaller things no one else seems to care about. What happened to his late grandmother's car? Who changed all the locks on the empty house and why?

"Let's be honest, when was the last time any of us was inside a church? Whichever funeral we last attended. And we're all thinking the same thing - when does the booze up start?"

"Mrs Judd, how delightful to see you again. On your way to the station? Leaving town perhaps?"
"In your dreams. What are you vandalising today? This is Mrs Edge's house isn't it?"
"It was, it isn't any more"
"So whose is it now and what are you doing here?"
"Client confidentiality prevents my disclosing any information".
Client confidentiality? Where had this shaved headed ape learned such words thought Mrs Judd.
