ODDBALL

Oddball is a little different than the other balls at his school and because of that they like to tease him and won't let him be included in their games. One day a new friend comes to school and helps everyone realize that it is okay to be different and being different is what makes friendship fun.

• Friendship - The new ball chooses Oddball to be her friend and by the end of the book we realize that the differences in everyone is what makes friendship more fun.
• Teasing - The balls at the school tease Oddball because he is not like they are. He is different and they won't include him in their activities.

• Different shapes or birth defects - Oddball couldn't help the way he was shaped. He was that way from the day he first bounced.
• Positive attitude - The new ball, V, has great positive attitude and it helped others want to be her friend.
• Caring about others - V did not care that Oddball was different. She wanted to be his friend anyway.
• Bullying - The balls at the school would not only tease Oddball but bump him away when he tried to play with them.
