I was incapable of feeling anything deeper than surface level. I had no desire to get to know anybody further than what they were like naked. My heart and body were too broken for anything more than that; too calloused. I didn't want anybody impaling themselves on the shards of ice that lived in my heart.


Nya
I wrapped my arms easily around Tucker's neck as he ran his nose down the length of mine, and he murmured, "Do you think that I'm not yours?" His lips grazed mine, but he didn't kiss me, and I groaned.

"Do you think that I am not completely consumed by you, Nya?" Tucker whispered against my lips. "That there is anybody else that's ever been this close to me?" His lips brushed mine. His voice was barely audible. "That there is anybody else that I would take part in illegal activity for?"

"I don't know," I answered honestly, feeling my voice catch. My heart was thudding inside my chest, trying to take in what he was telling me. Suddenly, Tucker flicked the light on, and I was met with my favorite set of green eyes. I stared into them, unable to catch my breath.
