An uplifting space adventure about the interstellar vessel JJ Grant and her crew, alien technology beyond human understanding and a danger that may result in the extinction of the human species.

The Orrappa, a troublesome species from a dying planet, are pirating and plundering Thark space vessels to supplement their own diminishing resources. When they discover planet Earth, they want it for themselves. It falls to the JJ Grant, with help from a Thark battle cruiser to prevent that happening.
