Engineering science emphasizes the principles of science in such a way that they are useful for analyzing engineering problems. In this regard, the background of engineering mechanics and thermodynamics is considered essential for all engineers. This introductory textbook covers the fundamentals of engineering mechanics (solid mechanics and the fluid mechanics) and thermodynamics.
