The enormous ballroom was dimly lit, and cozy in an odd way. The vaulted ceiling was so high with the log beams reaching several stories high at the center of the peak, but instead of looming it's size, it only glowed in warm light. There was a fire in the fireplace, and a warm glow in the room that made me feel right at home.

"Late summer, and we have a fire in the fireplace," I said.

"Granite floors can be cold," he grabbed my face and kissed me. "I don't want you to be cold when I take that dress off of you."
