Twelve-year-old Lucien Blake was born without the sense of sight. While playing in his backyard near a canal, Lucien tries to save the neighbor's son when he accidentally falls into the water. But when word spreads that Lucien possesses a powerful halo, unlike any other angel in the firmament, his world falls apart as he uncovers the secrets hidden from him about the true missions his parents once performed after the legendary war in heaven.
