Love's Ultimate Test

Carly is a trained wilderness survivalist forced by circumstances to move from her off-the-grid life in the Florida Panhandle to the big city of Aberdeen, Scotland. She's trying to earn enough money to help her widowed sister back in the States get a life-saving surgery for Carly's niece, Millie.

An advertisement for a new television show, The Ultimate Test, just might be the answer to her prayers. All Carly needs to do is use her survival skills to outlast the other contestants on one of Orkney's deserted islands and she'll win one million pounds. That will be more than enough to get the surgery Millie so desperately needs.

The trouble is, the show only wants couples as contestants, and Carly is decidedly single. She doesn't have the time or energy for more than a casual relationship because her focus is on her family.

Then Carly meets Euan on a blind date. He ticks all the boxes and Carly likes what she sees. When she learns Euan is a medic in the Royal Air Force, she realizes he's the perfect guy to enter the contest with her. If only she can convince him to pretend to be her boyfriend and spend four weeks on a deserted island off the northern coast of Scotland.

It's soon obvious to everyone except Carly and Euan's ex-fiance that they're made for each other. When life on the tiny island gets complicated, Carly and Euan must lean on each other to make it through. Although they get closer than ever, circumstances keep pulling them apart.
