Chris and Senada were lifelong best friends until the biggest moment of his life turned into the greatest test of their boundaries. While Chris was gone, Senada maintained her role as an adopted daughter in his family. Their household had been a sanctuary ever since a young Senada was often avoiding her alcoholic mother. Life hasn't been kind to her, but Senada finds a way to maintain her small flower shop and her sanity. Whether it's mounting bills and a clunky delivery van, or the lasting impact of a mother she couldn't choose, Senada's main priority is self-preservation.

Though they struggle to admit it to each other, Chris and Senada never really adapted to being apart. And when an unexpected event reunites them at the lowest points in their lives, they are forced to deal with everything they once were, who they've become, and what a future between them could be.
