It's 1970 in Australia. New teacher, Amy Shaw, struggles to adjust from life in Sydney to that in the remote town, Gurawang. On her first night, there's an explosion outside her hotel window, followed by more threats to her life. Then there is the mystery of a missing school boy. Whilst experiencing the joys of true love for the first time, she begins to discover the frightening truth. But once she does, are Amy and her new boyfriend able to work together to dispel the dark shadows that hang over Gurawang?
