I am coming up on my 86th birthday and of late I have been interested in the ideas determining the length of my life, in the principles that govern my longevity? I have watched with interest as a number of my friends have passed away, several much younger than I, and I wonder: is the length of my life strictly a function of my genetics as several of my friends suggest? My youngest son said the other day to his sibling, don't count dad out? He has the genes. He may well be around long after you and I have pushed up our daisies. So, what can I do, even at 85, if anything, to shorten or lengthen my life? Fatalistically, do I have a set day, hour, or minute when I am scheduled by God to check out - to die? And obviously, there is the age old question, what happens to me after death? Will I still be me? Will things be better? Will they be worse? Assuming that I retain my same identity, after I die, will there be more pain, aggravation, and work? As prophesied in scripture, I am convinced there is a Father in Heaven and a Jesus Christ sponsored judgment and a resurrection and immortality with blessings dependent on how one has lived? I am convinced there will be an eternal life somewhat like this world only much, much better? So, this is my second edition attempt to capture longevity answers to some if not all of these questions. Hopefully, you will find something in these Longevity Checklists that can help you live longer and prosper.
