An Australian story of violence, poverty and mental heath. Every day is a struggle.
A memoir of heartache, intrigue and unbelievable events that will have you asking ... Why?
Lies, Criminals and Bulldust is a true story of dominance, violence, criminal behaviour and the search for stability and happiness for one vulnerable single mother and her three young girls. Desperation and poor choices drive them into the orbit of the Yugoslav. A good provider through the art of theft, he leads them on a journey into the remote obscurity of the vast Australian outback.
Through roads of corrugated bulldust, breakdowns and adventures are never far away as they seek work in the rich, iron ore fields of the Pilbara, where criminal activity ensures they are never still for long.
Will this family find normality?
Is the Yugoslav the answer, or are his motives more sinister?
