Learning CSS can feel confusing when you are given a long list of properties and told to remember them all.
This book takes a different approach.
Instead of trying to learn everything at once, you will work through small problems and solve them one at a time. You will write the code, see what happens, make changes, and learn from them.
The idea behind this book is simple. CSS lets you choose something on a webpage and tell the browser how you want it to look. You do not need to know every CSS property before you can start building things.
Each chapter gives you a chance to try things for yourself. The Field Tests are there for exactly that. Type the example, change something, and see what happens. If something does not make sense the first time, try it again. You will often learn more by experimenting than by reading the same explanation over and over.
This book is for students and beginners who want to learn CSS without feeling overwhelmed.
