Kiss Of Death

It started with a three-second kiss.

Friday, 14 March 2025. Kochi. Aruna Motors showroom. A bored salesman, a dangerous woman, and a disgraced cop collide under white showroom lights. The woman-Natasha D'Souza-offers fifty thousand rupees in cash to the salesman, Rajan Varghese, to kiss her in front of her boyfriend, suspended encounter specialist Karan Malhotra. Three seconds. Fifty thousand. A stupid dare dressed up as easy money.

Except nothing about it is easy. That kiss lights a thirty-minute countdown that doesn't stop for sixty-five hours, two countries, five bodies, a drifting houseboat, a hijacked trawler, a beach gunfight, a runaway train, and a live-streamed confession under a sacred Sri Lankan bo tree.

Every lie has a timestamp. Every truth leaves a scar.

Rajan is dragged from hostage to survivor to state witness. Karan burns through bullets, friends, and luck until he's finally caught in the same chains he once tightened around others. Natasha runs on beauty, charm, and poison, only to end up exposed-pregnant, cornered in Dubai, forced to sell out the last man who ever trusted her.

By the time the courts are done, all three architects of the conspiracy are locked up on the same soil where the clock first started ticking.

But the story doesn't end with headlines or handcuffs. Twenty days later, Rajan sits in a Thrissur safehouse, writing a forty-page statement that buries every lie. Weeks after that, he stands in a courtroom watching the sentences fall like hammer blows-death, life, six years. A salesman who once signed fake papers now signs his final document as a free man.

Months later, he returns to the showroom where the nightmare began and gives away the white Fortuner that carried blood and betrayal across the sea. And on New Year's Eve, under the fireworks over Marine Drive, he tears open a prison-stamped envelope containing the original ₹50,000 bait money-the first lie of the whole damn mess-fresh with a lipstick kiss and a taunt from behind bars.

He throws every note into the Arabian Sea.

Taut, brutal, fast, and cynical, The Thirty-Minute Clock is a hard-boiled thriller about guilt, greed, survival, and the price of three seconds that spiraled into a national storm.

When time becomes the weapon, nobody walks away clean.
