Just Ask Your Self is a literary collection of 57 short stories that explore the hidden emotional lives beneath outward success. Each piece centers on a character who appears accomplished, composed, or fine on the surface, yet begins to confront a quieter, more unsettling question: Am I happy?

These stories examine the structures we unconsciously inherit, success scripts, performative identities, productivity culture and the quiet cost of living according to external expectations rather than internal truth.
