School children known the names of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, two intrepid explorers who carved a passageway to the Pacific Northwest in the early 1800s, opening up the country for trade and further exploration. But Lewis and Clark didn't act alone. Here we have the recently found journal of one Kevin Randolph, a grunt worker in the expedition who passed his time by conversing with his imaginary girlfriend, giving himself pleasure and trying not to get killed by "giant injuns." His journal reflects the travails of the working man who is just trying to make some cash, get some free land and live to see another day.
