This paper examines the issue of the low proportion of women in leadership positions and its possible causes. The aim is to identify a measure which, unlike the quota system for women, for example, does not merely address the symptoms but tackles the root causes. To this end, the study examines whether the concept of 'job sharing', which enables a single role to be shared, can contribute to gender equality at management level.
