Tantalizing thoughts of long-ago creep in as images scatter across my heart, the ancient remnants of a forgotten affection. Is this all that is left of what once was? Our epic fairytale is comprised of false hope and tainted love. I thought he was my prince charming turns out he was only a dream I created. A shrouded reality: imagination, hopes, and reveries conceal the real monster that is he. Yet sitting here, I long for the dream. False or not, I felt secure in this ever-changing world. I could continue on that path, and I would be content.
That is until I found you with your dazzling eyes and epic gaze. How could I not fall into the depths of you? The world has shifted; the sun is not as bright as the light in your eyes, and the nights are not as lonely. How could I ever imagine that I was happy without you? Were your water, I would savor every drop. Were your food, I would revel in every bite. The air I breathe is not as sweet as the gentle touch of your skin. You unsettle me so. That dream I once created looks like a breath of fresh air compared to the desire just watching you invokes. I long to hear the sound of your voice, if just for a moment. I am so completely and irrevocably in love with you. Do not cast doubt on my intentions; I only wish to make you happy. Any musing I ever had could not compare to the reality that we share.
