Includes a Foreword by Ken Wilber. This book is part memoir and part user's guide as that offers a new approach to healing and flourishing in the face of serious illness, be it a personal challenge, a loved one's, or a client's. It represents a new approach called Integral Healing, and it takes the patient, loved one, or healer from initial diagnosis through a transformative journey. The author was suddenly faced with a cascade of emotional and physical challenges associated with cancer diagnoses, several of them life threatening, She was fortunate to have a comprehensive framework to make sense of all the upheaval. Her task over those frightening months was to put the pieces together into an integrated whole. Ken Wilber's articulation of Integral Theory offered an approach. She had been searching for such a framework all of her adult life. When serious illnesses struck, she used the model to piece together a customized and customizable healing program.
