As humans we are at liberty to decide on what to do and not do. We are free to make our own choices. However, we cannot choose on the magnitude of the consequences that ensue from the choices we make. More often the future lives of our youths are determined by the choices they make while at school or the society at large. Sometimes parental negligence is a prime factor to some of our youths' miserable lives. Life skills forums have been conducted for decades but little progress have been made to impact the daily choices of our youths especially at the universities where freedom is misunderstood by most students. These stories are visionary used to entice the youths to stay focused on the present task and understand their priorities while at school. However, the characters are fictitiously used to clearly envision the real stories that happen in our higher learning institutions. It also encompasses occasional advises from the characters that should be taken seriously by our youths as well as the parents to reshape the lives of their children. It takes time to understand a custom, either way moral values cannot be mastered overnight. It is mastered from childhood and becomes part and parcel of our lives as we grow and develop.It is therefore a challenge to encourage the parents to open the minds of their children by telling them the truth about the real world. Teaching them how to be flexible before any circumstance will help them prevent mistakes that may cost them everything they have worked for, even their dreams and goals. As a parent, do not tell your child not to do something and stop at that, tell your child the reasons behind why he or she shouldn't do it; and if possible provide an alternative.
