Have you ever wondered if there was something more to life than simply high school and adulthood? Sixteen-year-old Malik Anomos Blackwood thought he had everything figured out and nothing could surprise him. That is until he gets attacked by demons that came straight from hell. Saved by a werewolf with a glowing sword, he is left questioning everything he once thought he knew. Quickly learning humans aren't the only ones residing in this world, there are creatures that go bump in the night, and they want him for dessert. 

When a call from destiny comes barging down his door, he gets more than what he expected as a conspiracy brings buried family secrets to the surface, dragging him from the quiet town of Portland to worlds he never thought existed. Before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his world is threatened. He must now do everything in his power to protect the people he loves. If starting a new high school isn't hard enough, Malik must now go toe to toe with the Boogeyman of his nightmares, and he might just find out what it truly means to be a monster.
