Improper Queen

Lady Liana Monroe never dared to dream of a happily ever after. Not until the vampire king, Damien Ashwood, forced her into a marriage bargain; she would be able to freely study magic while also being his personal mage to use as he pleased. She never could have guessed it would turn into love.

With their wedding on the horizon, she thought everything would be easy after that. After all, what more did she need other than a loving husband that would let her practice magic freely, unlike mage males?

She was wrong. Their impending nuptials bring with it more turmoil than she anticipated. The rebel cause wasn't as dormant as they believed, and continues to threaten their union by staging murders in order to pin the different breeds against each other. All while Damien's family reunites for their wedding, bringing the surly, self-appointed protector of the Ashwood line, High Lord Luciano. 

While worrying about making a good impression and defending against the discourse the rebels incite, Liana must also deal with her past after she finally realizes why her odd magic is so reactive and scared of discovery. 

Liana must stay strong but also learn to accept the aid and comfort of her fiancé while she comes to terms with her past and the threat of danger lurking.
