I, Pirate

An octogenarian pirate shares his epic first-hand tales of being at sea with the filibustiers, buccaneers, privateers and pirates from Henry Morgan through the Golden Age of Pirates. As a boy, he is enamoured by stories of Sir Francis Drake and dreams of becoming like his hero. His young family endures the hardships of witch hunts, the great plague and the fire of London. They leave Mother England for new opportunities in the New World, but tragedy strikes at sea. The boy is rescued by the filibustiers, sails with the buccaneers and becomes the young protege of the great Henry Morgan. He suffers heartbreak in Salem, Port Royal, the French and Indian wars and on the High Seas. He rubs elbows with the famous pirates of the Golden Age, including Henry Avery, Edward Teach, Benjamin Hornifold, Henry Jennings, Charles Vane, Sam Bellamy, Stede Bonnet, William Kidd, Calico Jack Rackham, Anne Bonny, Mary Read, Woodes Rogers, Ned Low, Black Bart Roberts and others. At length, he meets a young lad named Franklin who is destined for greatness in the American Colonies. After a career of swashbuckling adventure, he finally he realizes his greatest dream as a seaman.
