What makes a hero a hero? A cape? Super strength? A cool alter ego? A badge? Timmy goes through a journey of self discovery, and he finds out that a hero is much more than flash and ability.

Angelo Gomez, a proud native of Henderson, Nevada- the "City of Destiny," as dubbed by President John F. Kennedy-embodies the promise JFK envisioned for his hometown. From a remarkable early start at age 19, when he became Henderson's youngest political candidate in history, Angelo has dedicated his life to public service.

Now a decorated police officer, he earned the title of "selfless hero" from local media after working with 3 other officers to rescue a young girl and her dogs from a blazing apartment fire.

Angelo's valor extends beyond the call of duty. Honored with the Medal of Valor, a Congressional Commendation, the Governor's Certificate of Recognition, and multiple Officer of the Month awards, he has also been celebrated by the Henderson City Council.

With a Master's Degree in hand and over 400 hours of specialized training in special victims investigations, Angelo has taken every opportunity to be a premier servant of the people.

In his debut novel, Hero Inside, Angelo weaves a powerful narrative inspired by his own triumph over a challenging childhood. Through his writing, he amplifies the voices of kids facing similar struggles, offering hope and resilience drawn from a life of extraordinary service.
