Hello, my name is Daminique Mayor, although it really isn't. I have chosen to keep my name anonymous to protect my innocence. If you make it through the entirety of this series, you will understand why. This story is about my journey in life, and I'm glad you have chosen to be a part. This Helliston series has a very personal meaning and comes from a place of extreme comfort and knowledge of the characters. And let this be a warning to those who practice deception...sometimes you don't know who the storyteller will be. If anyone in this series of books resonates with you, our job has been well done.
Of course, these works in the Helliston series are fiction...aren't they? You can be the judge. For sure, they were inspired by real life events, because you can't make this stuff up.

When people feel the need to manipulate others, often it is because of the personal insecurity they have. Deception can be a tricky thing, and I advise you to never get yourself in that kind of mess. We love the idea that the truth will always come out, and usually it does. In cases where manipulation tactics are being used, however, it usually takes a lot longer for that verity to be revealed. And sometimes, by the time facts do come out, the damage may have been already done. Don't believe everything ANYONE tells you, not even your family sometimes.
