Many Christians are ignorant and naïve about the reality of heaven and hell. Many also believe that the Bible or the judgment of God is intentionally written down as a measure to control morality. That is not true.
However, apart from what is recorded in the Bible, God still uses dreams, visions and prophecy to tell and warn mankind about the reality of heaven and hell. Dreams, visons and prophecy (rhema) confirm what is written in the Bible (logos).
And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead. For if the miracles I did for you had been done in wicked Sodom, it would be here today. I tell you, even Sodom will be better off on judgment day than you" (Matt.11:23-24). NLT.
Jesus has confirmed in the above scriptures that, heaven and hell are real, and these two places will be the destination and abode for the righteous and non-righteous respectfully.
Again, Jesus once gave a parable in Luke chapter sixteen about Lazarus and the rich man. After their death, Lazarus (his soul) went to the bosom of Abraham (paradise) while the rich man (his soul) went to the place of the dead (hade, grave or sheol)

It is an undeniable fact that every human being will be judged according to his deeds or works and what he chooses to belief. And one's deeds will determine whether he will go to heaven or hell after his death. That is why the Bible records that Jesus came into this wicked world to save we sinners who are destined to perish in hell.
