Growing Strong 1

The book "Growing Strong 1- A Guide for Muslim Kids on Human Growth and Sexuality" proposes a curriculum for Islamic sexual education for Muslim kids. Islamic sexual education means providing Muslim kids with a basic understanding of how Allah has made our bodies and how they grow. As children grow, they often have questions about their bodies. Without any education related to those questions, it is common for them to seek answers from inappropriate sources. This is why sex education exists in many countries. However, sex education without moral values can lead to serious consequences that can affect a child's life in both this world and the hereafter. Being Muslim parents, it is our responsibility to protect our children from the harm of this world and the hereafter by providing them with the values their religion has given. The purpose of this book is to empower Muslim parents to step up and feel confident in their child's learning about sex and sexuality, instead of feeling shameful as most parents do. The information presented in this book comes from a combination of research on human biology and Islamic context. This book sets forth the moral values Islam provides that growing kids need to learn before or around the time they become sexually mature or reach puberty, i.e. Grade 4 or higher levels. I hope this book helps Muslim parents or educators start sexual health education at home to protect them from evil and let them grow into pious and modest human beings.
