Grieving with Words

I have lost all my remaining family members. My only sibling my brother passed in 2016, My husband in 2019, and my mother in 2020 less than 4 months after my husband. I had been a caregiver to each one of them. My husband the longest his health issues became insurmountable. After 12 years of struggling, he finally gave up the fight.
But my grief was about more than their deaths. I begin journaling writing down every feeling and thought.
I had kept silent for all those years my words exploded onto the pages-raw and unedited. And so my journey began, to build a new life and heal.
My days became more bearable, I met new friends many were going through their grief journey. We are still a tight group today. Their words of comfort and support helped me move forward.
My life is so different now and every day I am growing and learning. I found God and that in itself is an amazing story. I am confident and strong. I am a survivor.
I want to inspire and encourage others and share my success. I am still a little rusty around the edges but I am finally happy and excited that I have found a way to give back and support others.
