Why this book?

Current Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has made it his mission to eradicate Black people from the pages of American history. If the trend continues, the legacy of Black people will be lost forever, leaving our children unequipped with the sense of pride knowledge of one's culture nourishes. Without knowing the history and contributions of Black people in America, young people can't comprehend the price the ancestors have already paid for them. We are the gatekeepers of our history. We are the ones that must ensure that our children and our children's children are aware of the sacrifices that their people have made on their behalf.
