Good Morning Farm Animal Friends

Good Morning Farm Animal Friends takes children on a journey through a lively farm as the sun rises and the animals awaken. As dawn breaks, the story begins with the energetic Red Rooster waking up and saying, "good morning" to the pink pig, initiating a chain of friendly exchanges. From Brown Cow to Black Horse, Gray Goat to White Sheep, and Orange Cat to Blue Bird, each animal greets the next with enthusiasm and asks how they are doing. The farm is filled with the sounds of their cheerful greetings, from oinks and moos to meows and chirps. The story ends with the arrival of Farmer John, who warmly greets each individual farm animal, ensuring everyone feels included and valued. Good Morning Farm Animal Friends not only teaches young children about colors, different farm animals and the sounds they make but this story also emphasizes the importance of friendliness, good manners and respect. The story uses repetition to make it fun and easy for young children to follow along, stay engaged and actively participate in the reading of this simple book.

About The Author:

Shannon is passionate about early childhood education and special education. Ironically, she grew up vowing that she would never be a teacher. She received her B.A. degree in English from the University of California, Irvine. After graduating from college, still unsure about her career path, she began substitute teaching and unexpectedly fell in love with preschool special education. Shannon obtained an Early Childhood Special Education Credential and an M.A. in Special Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She has dedicated 28 years to early childhood education, including 25 years in preschool special education.

Her inspiration for writing came from the beloved children's book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, whose simple, repetitive wording engages young learners. Shannon created an animal book series that invites young children to actively participate in the reading experience. In addition to being an author, Shannon is the owner of Care2Teach Educational Resources, which provides educational resources designed for early childhood education. Born in Louisiana but raised in Long Beach, California, Shannon now lives in Southern California with her two beautiful daughters. She cherishes time with her family and enjoys being actively involved in her church.
