Glory for Beginners

The word "Glory" takes on many faces. It is used often by Christians in different ways just as if it has several different meanings. And that seems to be ok. How can something have so many moving parts and yet have such a simple explanation in our minds?

You can assign it; "Give God the glory." Psalms 96:7
You can go into it; "Received into Glory. "Luke 24:26
You can use it, "Glorify His Name." John 12:28
You can have it, "I do not receive the Glory of men." John 5:41
It has substance, "The weight of Glory." 2 Cor. 4:17
It has a ruler, "The King of Glory." Psalms 24:8
It has more than one location, "Glory to glory." 2 Cor. 3:18
You can expect it, "Hope of glory." Colossians 1:27
You can see it, "Let me see your glory (Moses). Exodus 33:18 Isaiah 49:3 "
It can be described, "The heavens declare the glory of God." Psalms 19:1
It can be our characteristic, "You are our glory." 2 Cor. 3:11
Inanimate objects have it, glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon. 2 Cor. 15:41
It can come and go, The Glory has left." 1 Sam. 4:22
It can express joy, "My glory rejoices." Psalms 16:9
You can do things to it, "Do all to the Glory of God."1 Cor. 10:31
