Marriage and Old Age: Two Life-Changing Realities

Patrick shares, "I have asked myself what were the events outside my call to mission service that have most affected my life. I believe there have been two: marriage and old age. The truth is that these two events affect almost everyone. They make us different persons from what we were before."

Patrick shares how both of these events, combined with God's providence and a lifestyle of radical faith, impacted his life, marriage, and ministry over the years .In his engaging style, he shares how he and his wife, Evelyn, met and married and their "faith adventures" that led them to follow God's lead to San Francisco, Fort Worth, and eventually, as missionaries, to a number of different assignments and cities in Mexico: from Torreon in Northern Mexico, to Merida on the southen tip, then to the great metroplex of Mexico City where he served as an educator, a pastor, and counselor. He also opens up about the impact of retirement, aging, and becoming a widower after 73 years of marriage.

The second part of his book is based on a series of Bible Studies he gave on marriage and family a number of years ago.

As Patrick says, few people are around or able to tell their story at age 96 ... what a blessing that he is!
