Five men. Five men with differing values and ideologies hit the road, destined for an archeological ruin belonging to a the Illianans; a deceased people rumored to have achieved magical accomplishments unlike any other. Annovi, a university professor, is invited to tag along on a quest with his old friend Leiland, a monster hunter, Vincent, an assassin, and Klein, a priest. Later they encounter a merchant who wishes to help them with their task. As they travel, they will discuss philosophy and butt heads with one another. In this action packed story, they will encounter beasts like no other, unravel mysteries more than a decade old, and have their virtues tested in ways they previously would have failed to comprehend. Will they return from this expedition unscathed? Or will the monsters, conundrums, and/or possibly each other, irreparably change their psyche?
